When thinking of beauty services, most would think of getting their hair, nails, lashes & eyebrows. There are so many other beauty services we can take advantage of that could really be live changing for the entire body. We live in times where most people are under high levels of stress which isn’t healthy. So, I put together 5 add-on beauty services that can help improve the quality of your life. All services mentioned here are affordable and would be great options to add to your beauty + lifestyle regimen in 2020.
Facials
Facials are amazing at bringing out the natural beauty in the skin. Services can range from simple to more complex services and are based on an individual’s need. If you want to bring out the natural glow in your skin without using a ton of products, trying to get rid of stubborn acne (even adult acne), blemishes, etc,, a facial is a great way to start! Getting a facial once every month to quarterly, and using the products your Esthetician recommend for your skin can really boost self confidence and the beauty of the skin. Facials can also be performed on the back, and usually come with a massage on the shoulders, arms, head & neck. A basic facials starting price range anywhere from $35-$50.

Massage
No, I’m not talking about the $1 massage chairs here. I’m talking about a licensed Massage Therapist who can help your body get to where it need to be. In our world, we sit down a lot. Some times for several hours. Or, we can be the type that is physical most days. Either way, it’s a great idea to add a massage to your life. Massage services are great for healing sore muscles, may help align the body correctly, and take stress off of areas that need relief. Massage services usually start at $60 an hour.

Acupuncture & Cupping
Acupuncture is a great services that uses multiple needles, which gently pierce the skin to help relieve stress and release toxins from the body. Cupping is used in a similar way, but no needles are involved. Instead of needles, cups and other elements are used and are placed on the back creating a suction effect. This service releases tension in the back and removes toxins as well. These services are usually performed in a quiet, relaxing environment, like the services mentioned above. Acupuncture usually starts at $50 while Cupping starting price is $40 based on spa services.

Head Massage
Head Massages aren’t listed in the Massage section, because it is something that can generally be performed in the beauty salon. This service can be performed on both wet or dry hair. Head massage provides relaxation while loosening any tension on the scalp. They also help with increased blood flow throughout the head and scalp temporarily. I personally offer this services to all of my clients after the shampoo service. I treat my clients by running the conditioner through their hair. While the conditioner is penetrating their hair, I massage the rest of the conditioner on their scalp and throughout their roots which is a double benefit for them. Next time you’re at the salon, ask your Hairstylist for a Head Massage.

If you haven’t taken advantage of these services, add them to your life in 2020! If you feel I missed anything, leave a comment. 🙂
