Beauty means different things to different people. I discovered how much I loved beauty when I was a child. I created my first beauty product when I was 6 years old. I knew I was destined to be in the beauty industry. After being in the industry 12 years, I found myself redefining my definition of beauty as I’ve changed so much since I was 6 years old. Some believe beauty is all about the industry of selling products and performing services. There are so many ways we see beauty.
What beauty means to me….
Beauty is how someone chooses to live their life with a smile on their face. Beauty is a way of life. I believe our bodies inside and out, our homes, cars, careers, appearance and personality is what defines beauty. Let’s not forget the beautiful nature in all four seasons. So many times people pick which is most important when every aspect in our lives should represent beauty.
For example, recently, I worked with an Interior Designer for my home. Now I can style clothes. I can make someone’s hair, brows and lashes look gorgeous. What I can’t do is design a home. I tried and I accept this isn’t my talent. The lady I worked with brought pure beauty to our home. It has this glam look and I’ve added my own touch. As a busy mom running around with a soon to be toddler and teenage sons it feels good coming home to a place that’s glamorous. An Interior Designer is a necessity for sure. Its one of those things you didn’t know you needed until after.
My definition beauty makes me smile knowing I can take the time to nourish my mind with prayer and meditation. I can look beautiful by choosing the clothes in my closet that puts a smile on my face. Let’s not forget hair, nails, makeup and accessories. I think of beauty when I brew a fresh cup of Starbucks coffee and pour it into my favorite mug. Beauty comes to mind when I shower and exfoliate with my company’s face and body scrubs (I’m relaunching soon so stay tuned). I think of beauty even when I’m stretching, because I know I’m changing my life for the better. I can keep going, but I’m sure you have a visualization of how I see beauty.
As you can see, beauty means so many things to me. I created an entire lifestyle around what beauty is and what it means to me. Now its your turn. What does beauty mean to you?
